The Bay of Kotor, without the rush
The Bay of Kotor winds deep into the mountains of Montenegro, with small stone towns along the water. In a private car you can take your time there and see the bay from several sides, not only from the old town.
Damir collects you early, which also helps with the border queue in summer.

Perast
Kotor
The plan for the day
Perast
A small baroque town of captains' houses facing two islands. Boats go out to Our Lady of the Rocks from the waterfront.
Kotor
Kotor's old town sits behind its walls at the far end of the bay. Wander the lanes, have lunch, or climb some of the steps towards the fortress above.
Viewpoints around the bay
On the way back there are stops where you see the whole bay with the mountains rising from the water.
Good to know
Passports or ID cards are needed for everyone. The boat in Perast, the Kotor fortress ticket and lunch are paid separately. The border can add an hour or more on busy summer days.
